Floragem Launches VIVA Herb & Veggie Line at The Home Depot

Floragem, Inc., a Vista, CA marketing company that develops plant programs for the retail market, has launched its VIVA! brand at The Home Depot's more than 1,300 home improvement stores nationwide this spring.

The VIVA! Herb line encompasses up to 50 varieties divided into six color-coded categories based on the primary uses of each grouop - culinary herbs, tea herbs, health and beauty herbs, aromatic herbs, pet herbs and scented geranium herbs. Consumers can identify the different varieties and their traditional uses by their associated color and whimsical icon. Regional varieties of herbs are grown to satisfy local tastes. In Florida, VIVA Herbs will include Cuban oregano; in New Your you'll find Greek compact oregano, and lots of cilantro and Thai basil in California.

The VIVA! Veggies line encompasses up to 50 varieties of vegetables - from the standard beefsteak tomatoes to more obscure varieties of peppers for the gourmet gardener. Each variety has been specially selected for its outstanding performance in growth habit, harvesting and taste. regional varieties of vegetables include golden cross cabbage, zucchini balls, sweet slice cucumber and watermelon Sugar Baby.

VIVA! has custom-designed point-of-purchase tags. Each plant comes in an attractive pot with a two-sided tag with fun, whimsical icons, and descriptions of the variety, and the plant's properties including its uses, growth habits and planting instructions.
